I accepted an invitation to join a fascinating genealogy group, #52 Ancestor Challenge, from our famous genealogy cousin Myra Vanderpool Gormley. Myra is my 7th cousin in the Bankston line, and my husband Ronald S. Beatty is Myra’s 11th cousin through the Rambo line . The goal is to write a genealogy essay a week. Thank you, Myra. Maybe.
Thanks to my son Jon for inadvertently providing the title for this #52 Ancestors blog. On New Year's Day 1969 6 year old Jon and his 8 year old brother Scott were discussing how babies were born.
Jon: "I know how babies are born,"
Scott: "Nah, you don't either!"
Jon: "Uh huh, I do too."
Scott: "Nah! You don't - ok, so how?"
Jon: "One day, a mom was out walking, looking up in heaven with her mouth open, and God
dropped a people seed in it. And here I am!"
